course: How to efficiently integrate implantology in your everyday
practice.
Summary:
The aim of this course is to introduce
members of the dental team to oral implantology.
First, we examine the importance of each member’s role in the
integration of implantology into the dental practice. This enables
each member of the team to adequately inform the patient as to the
different types of treatments in implantology, the problems that are
associated with the bone loss resulting from the loss of teeth and
the advantages of implants as a replacement for missing teeth.
Second,
receptionists, hygienists, dental assistants and dentists are grouped
in workshops relative to their distinct responsibilities. Different
subjects are discussed such as: enrolment, hygiene, asepsis, suite
preparation, the types of instruments, timetable planning, insurance
codes and the financial contracts.
